The evaluations of Sagittea consultants assist clients identifying and understanding the effects of public sector programmes with the aim of optimising public spending and increasing accountability and transparency. Sagittea experts have performed several ex ante, mid-term, and ex post evaluations of programmes related to regional, rural development, SMEs support, transport and environment fields.
Our approach to Evaluation:
Sagittea approach to evaluation is characterised by the synergic use of quantitative (cost-benefit analysis, cost effectiveness analysis, econometric models, etc.) and qualitative methodology (focus group, interview, benchmarking). The professional goal of Sagittea experts is not restricted to the mere description of projects and programmes:our consultants try also to explain the reasons behind the success or the failure of a project or a programme. This enables us to issue future recommendations, as our evaluations are always action-oriented. The results are provided in well-documented reports, often followed up by workshops and handbooks (see methodology), in order to make the evaluation exercise useful for the stakeholders

Our projects in Evaluation: Sagittea consultants built their strong experience in evaluation through the assignment from the European Commission DG Regio in Central Italian Regions (Umbria, Marches, Tuscany). They performed several assessment studies on the impact of EU structural funds upon Italian transport infrastructures. |
